Abbruch und Umnutzung von Gebäuden – Die aktuelle Situation in Deutschland

Zusammenfassung Im Vergleich zu anderen Wirtschaftsgütern haben Gebäude eine deutlich längere Lebensdauer. Dennoch werden Gebäude häufig vor Erreichen dieser abgebrochen. Die Ursachen dafür sind wissenschaftlich nicht erforscht. Ein Forschungsprojekt der TU Dresden strebt einen umfassenden und differenzierten Überblick über die Faktoren an, die zu vorzeitigem Gebäudeabbruch führen, mit dem übergeordneten Ziel, das Wissen über die Verlängerung der Gebäudenutzungsdauer zu erweitern. Im Zuge des Projekts wurden statistische Daten zu Gebäudeabgängen in Deutschland untersucht. Die Ergebnisse zur Entwicklung der abgebrochenen und nutzungsveränderten Gebäude in Bezug auf Gesamtanzahl, Eigentümer, Baujahr und Ursache sollen in diesem Beitrag vorgestellt werden.
Demolition and conversion of buildings – The current situation in Germany
Abstract Compared to other assets, buildings have a significantly longer service life. Nevertheless, buildings are often demolished before they reach this point. The reasons for this have not been scientifically researched. A research project at TU Dresden is endeavouring to gain a comprehensive and differentiated overview of the factors that lead to premature building demolition, with the overarching aim of expanding knowledge about extending the useful life of buildings. As part of the project, statistical data on building demolitions in Germany was analysed. The results on the development of demolished and converted buildings in terms of total number, owner, year of construction and cause will be presented in this article.
